“All Because Two People Loved Each-Other” is yet another painting from my “Pink Skies” series. This painting is a story of a family. The Morris family to be precise but honestly, I think many families could apply to the story of this one. If you think about a family tree, it starts with two people falling in love, not in every case, but in the Morris family, two people really did fall in love. And from there it multiplies. Years and years lead to generations and generations of people falling in love and creating more of the same family. I wanted to capture that idea in this painting. The “unfinished” looking figures in the painting are to symbolize a group of family members in the past, present, and future. It has a more unfinished feel to it because families are also constantly unfinished. Especially in the Morris family, where they get to together year after year, to dance, drink, look at pink skies, and celebrate being alive.
