The Take Over

The Take Over explores humanity’s growing dominance over the natural world. As forests are cleared for apartments, factories, and expanding cities, wildlife is forced from its home—yet we call them the intruders when they enter ours.

The oversized hands symbolize humanity pulling the strings, controlling the fate of the animals suspended below like puppets. Plastic, development, and industry slowly replace forests and habitats, leaving species with fewer places to survive. While small acts of conservation exist, they are overshadowed by the scale and speed of destruction, raising the question of whether our efforts have come too late.

The Take Over challenges viewers to reconsider who the real invader is. We did not inherit an empty world—we took over one that was already home to countless forms of life.
