Artist Description

The scene depicts a historical record of the Lakes District poets and the calming scenery of the district. Other parts of the painting coincide with various lyrics of “The Lakes” song, written by artist Taylor Swift. Attached poetry are excerpts written by William Wordsworth and Samuel Tylor Coleridge. The painting entitled “Take Me to the Lakes” shows where many poets spent their last days attempting to find peace. These poets’ words have transcended time. Their words still impact us today.
