Artist Description

Because of the political climate in our country, I decided to do a small series of paintings. These paintings use elements of weather to mimic the unrest. I have used watercolor on clay board to create a chaotic environment. Then, I’ve used tools to dig out wind direction. To me, these marks represent the changes that come and go- the cyclical nature of politics. Resist seemed a good name for this painting as it has a resist quality as in a batik style and also reflects my opinion.
