Watercolor on clayboard with tools to carve out white marks- Dorlands wax layered on top
Artist Description
In response to the chaotic political situation in our country, I decided to create a small series of paintings. I’m using weather events to mimic the unrest. Prevailing winds come up on my weather app every day. They appear as small white arrows flying around in different directions on a blue screen. The idea that could take my watercolors on clay board, make an abstract landscape and then dig out the white marks to show direction does show what I intended.
