My wife grew the “perfect” strawberry this year, of which she was rightfully proud. I decided to draw some of this year’s bounty to honor her gardening talents. After enlarging pictures I took I noticed many details I had not seen; the golden values of the seeds, the shadows that appeared almost purple, the yellow highlights in the stem and leaves, the striking white highlight around many of the seeds. When completed, the 8” x 10” drawing reminded my of many a cereal box disclaimer, “Not Actual Size. Enlarged to Show Texture.”
