Artist Description

Dining and dancing in lagoons, flying above wetlands like visitors from some mysterious world, dipping elegantly curved necks into fish-rich ponds, like the flowers surrounding their habitats, flamingos change colors with the seasons of their lives. Flamingos in the Camargue in southern France are renowned for their lengthy period of white feathers which turn pink as they feed in the park waters. My whimsical paper sculptures and embroidered watercolor flowers celebrate their beauty while lamenting their threatened habitats.
