Medium Description

I work primarily in an abstract style, painting on silk fabric using references from my own photographs or sometimes purely from imagination. My process often begins with photography or digital abstraction, which I then translate onto silk using dye, resist, and layered painting techniques. Around these imprints, I build hand-painted compositions that create a dialogue between image, fabric, and color.

Artist Description

Crossroads of Memory reflects a lifelong journey across
continents, cultures, and civilizations. Every place I have lived,
every person I have met, and every tradition I have encountered has
left an imprint on my identity. Rather than depicting a single
destination, this artwork represents the convergence of many
experiences that continue to shape who I am.

The central figure symbolizes the self—formed not by one
culture, but by the accumulation of diverse histories, beliefs, and
human connections. The geometric patterns suggest the structure of
memory, where each fragment represents a place, a conversation, a
tradition, or a moment in time. Individually, these pieces tell
separate stories; together, they create a unified identity.

The mosaic surrounding the figure evokes the richness of different
ethnic cultures and civilizations, while the vertical background
lines symbolize the continuous passage of time and the invisible
threads that connect people across generations and borders. The
composition speaks to the idea that our identities are not fixed—they
evolve through every journey, every encounter, and every shared
experience.

Crossroads of Memory is a reflection on belonging beyond
geography. It celebrates the beauty of cultural diversity and reminds
us that every life is enriched by the paths we cross and the memories
we carry. It is a visual narrative of transformation, where the past
and present intersect, and where the many roads we travel ultimately
become part of a single human story.
