Artist Description

In an age of easy answers and instant gratification, it is easy to live comfortably and never seek a challenge. The tiger has long been a symbol of courage, resilience, and inner strength. The creation of this vase began with a single idea that presented a choice; walk away from a difficult concept or embrace the challenge and discover what was possible. Choosing the path of the tiger, the long process of shaping, sculpting, and refining the vase began. Through the perseverance and courage required to complete it, new possibilities for growth, creativity, and craftsmanship emerged.

This vase is crafted from stoneware clay. Each sculpted element was shaped by hand and carefully built onto the surface of a wheel-thrown vessel, reflecting the patience and determination embodied by the tiger.
