Artist Description

Cookie Run is a trompe-l’œil portrait of my daughter, Brynn, created as an illustration for a children’s book my wife and I are developing. The “crayon” inspired drawing tells the story of Brynn baking the perfect cookie. A cookie so perfect that the kitchen explodes from its sheer epicness. Just before the blast, she snatches the final cookie and triumphantly wins the competition.

By combining traditional oil portrait techniques with playful, childlike mark-making, the painting celebrates the boundless imagination, adventure, and larger-than-life storytelling that define childhood.
