Artist Description

It was the sails on their masts that caught my eye against
the darkening sky.  These were river
boats called feluccas docked on the River Nile.  There was a beauty to the scene that I wanted
to capture and not simply document that I was there.  I wanted to express how I felt about being there.  This trip had been on my bucket list.  This image is part of a series where I’ve used an in-camera technique, Intentional Camera Movement, to express myself in the work by going beyond what was in front of the camera.
