Artist Description

Lately I’ve challenged myself to create artful
images from ordinary household items. This blue vase had been sitting on my kitchen
table for some time, but on this occasion, I was struck by how the morning light
accentuated the colors of the blue vase against the yellow wall and the red
flowers.  I went for my camera and after
several takes produced this image.  I
used an in-camera technique called ICM (Intentional Camera Movement) which I
enjoy because it allows me to be creative and express myself as a photographer.
