Calm-ity

Medium Description

Calm-ity is an acrylic painting on a 20 in x 20 in gallery wrapped canvas. The canvas was painted with an orange ground that was not entirely painted over allowing the warm color to penetrate the landscape. The piece has been coated with a satin, water-based medium.

Artist Description

Calm-ity depicts a quiet water landscape. Created from my imagination, this scene allowed me to work with large brushes and big expressive brush strokes to create interest in what is otherwise a calm and relaxing scene.
