This small abstracted, figurative painting is done with acrylic paint on archival paper. To finish, it was mounted on a wood panel and sealed with a satin, water-based medium.

Artist Description

In the red dress is DB celebrating her Birthday. DB doesn’t just
celebrate on her birth “date”,  she celebrates the entire month! This
abstract, figurative painting represents one of many celebrations she
had last October. The intent was that this work was to be a figurative study for a larger
piece but evolved into a finished painting that led me to create a series that included 4 additional figurative paintings. “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” was painted from a photograph.
