“Pink Tree” is from my Tree Series and was created as a non-objective abstraction. I was inspired and excited by the mystery of the intuitive color choices during the process. Since this piece is smaller than most of my work, I focused carefully on maintaining impact and eye flow without overfilling the composition. Upon stepping back, the prominent pink tree made it clear the piece was complete, and the title came easily. Multicolored, impastoed, gestural, lyrical, abstract composition extended around perimeter, wired, varnished, signed.
