My paper is Arches, Cold press 140lb. My watercolors areWinsor Newton. I used the standard watercolor technique of layering my colors.Unlike my general style of detailed painting, I was loose, more patient andallowed the paint to flow more freely in this painting.  

Artist Description

As mentioned with my other entries, this painting is based on
a stop in Kinderdijk, Holland on my Viking tour last year. Kinderdijk is rich
in history and culture of Dutch windmills. There is a calm easy feeling as the
windmills slowly turn or sit still. The waters around them are still and calm
when the windmills are not running. With the mild wind, still water and high
grass there is a feeling of interaction with nature. This is my four painting of Kinderdijk.
