The Road Not Taken

Becky Hyatt Rickenbaker

Inspired by one of the world’s most well-known poems, “The Road Not Taken” by Robert Frost, this painting reflects the peacefulness and beauty resulting from choosing the road less traveled. Painted from the perspective of a driver traveling through this bucolic setting, the road seems to have no end as it mingles with shadows, fields, forests and sky. Does this road make all the difference, as Frost proclaims in his infamous poem? Maybe, but to find out, it must first be chosen.
