I painted this plein air painting of a neighborhood pond during the initial pandemic lockdown as part of a series of "close to home" images. I streamed online as I painted to connect with and encourage others to stay hopeful and creative. The blue vertical element was added back in my studio to reflect strength amid all the uncertainty. The thinner soft blue horizontal symbolizes calm and patience.
