Perceive No Evil 1

Ember Estridge

A person is drawn onto of a background layered with Bible pages. The person is unable to see, hear, or speak, harking to the old saying, “See No Evil, Hear No Evil, and Speak No Evil.” This is a personal piece connecting to all of the church hurt I have experienced and how people warp the scripture to harm and control others. The drawing is done with black and scarlet conte crayon and outlined with black ink.
