Dad’s Barber Tools

Patrick DeCrane

Watercolors on watercolor paper.

This painting is a tribute to my Dad, Clem DeCrane, Sr. who was a butcher by trade. With 5 boys in our family it was necessary for him to cut our hair because of the cost. We boys felt people could tell our father was a butcher by the way he cut our hair. While the manual clipper were never used, they were always in his tin can of barber tools. Along with the manual clippers, the scissors and brush were his original tools.
