Inspired by Mt. Joy’s song “Astrovan” and Emily Dickinson’s “Hope”. Hope looks different for everyone; for this wayward angel it’s in a few scratch off tickets. The curled shavings from the losing tickets mingle with her cigarette smoke and molted feathers, her wishes flying to the heavens on a gentle early morning breeze.
