Walking In A Morning Dream

I enjoy impressionistic painting juxtaposed with the use of
unconventional color. This painting was done for the recent quarterly themed exhibit of the Haywood County Arts Council (Waynesville, NC), with the theme being chiaroscuro. The inspiration for the painting came from a photograph I took while on vacation with my wife in Slovenia and Austria in 2023. While in Slovenia, we spent time driving through Triglav National Park, where the Julian Alps predominate. It is a beautiful, serene region and served as a fertile premise for this painting.
