Verdure 4: Heartland

Verdure 4 is a series of acrylic paintings on cradled wood panels. Each panel is 30 in x 30 in. The use of wood allows for sanding and scraping to reveal the layers below the surface creating a rich history and depth to each piece. They are so titled because in addition to there being 4 paintings in the series, a 4 color palette was used to complete each painting in the series. Ultramarine Blue, Cadmium Yellow, Alizeran Crimson and Yellow Ochre. This limited color choice brings unity to the series of very different geologic landscapes.
