This landscape series is acrylic on wood panel. The choice of wood panel
allows me to sand and scrape through the layers to see the history of
previous layers adding interest to the painting and adding cohesiveness
to the series. The series is titled Verdure 4 which represents the 4
color palette used in each painting: Ultramarine Blue, Alizeran Crimson,
Yellow Ochre and Cadmium Yellow.

This piece, Verdure 4 Highlands, represents the diverse high desert and mountainous landscape of Colorado which I called home for many years.
