Artist Description
Theater of Light, peonies
I am a modern impressionist working in acrylic, drawn again and again to beauty, light, and the truth that joy lives just beneath the surface of ordinary things. I paint what I want to hang in my own home. Vibrant color, hopeful moments, and the quiet beauty found in everyday life deliver hope. I am also a widowed mother of ten children.
This piece was born from a conviction I return to often. I am captivated by the way joy stands out against hardship. Deeply challenging times bring out the sweetest rewards, if we allow them.
The bright peonies against the dark background represent the joys mined in hard places. When we welcome and turn toward the light, our darkest seasons become some of our greatest treasures.
This is art that carries light, because it understands shadow.
