The Prickly Pear Field

Within the luminous white petals of the Prickly Poppies some places were almost so bright white they were difficult to look at in the noon day sun. The texture of the petals were deep and cast an array of shadows within the flower. The cad yellow center of the poppy seemed to say “Look at Me!”.  The white flowers contrasted with the earthy colors of the field making them stand out even more.
