Part of Nausea series inspired by the novel of the same title by Jean-Paul Sartre.

With ink, I sketch a single person in a restaurant. I record numerous positions, iterations, and movements, then redraw the small sketch with graphite. This is where I render gestures and different points of time into the same dimension while blurring the lines between subject/object and distorting the potential for a cohesive narrative. The subject’s gaze is emphasized through drastic shifts in contrast.
