Ojos de Pura Vida is a celebration of life and biodiversity through the eyes of Costa Rica’s apex predator, the Jaguar. During my month-long residency at the Mauser Ecohouse in Costa Rica, I was surrounded by the variety and intricacy of God’s creation. This artist experience showed me how interconnected our ecosystems are, and how little some human’s understand this dichotomy, as well as how socioeconomic factors affect a human’s ability to care. Even our society is deeply connected with nature and our levels of affection for it. While I did not see all of these species during my stay, I did see most, and I hope that they inspire you to care a little more about the critters around you.
