Artist Description

A neighborhood of Victorian houses and a weekend of painting? How could I resist?  I went up to North Carolina to paint in the inaugural Montford Plein Air Festival, held in the Montford Historic District.  The hardest part was choosing what to paint because every single house was eye candy.  As I was driving very slowly through on Saturday morning, this blue house called out to me.  The tall cedars, the sun hitting the bay window, and the blooming rhododendron were a recipe for the house of my dreams.  I got as much done as I could before the morning gave way to afternoon, and finished the rest in my studio.
