With this painting I wanted to explore the idea of growth and change through a surreal lens. Throughout history and cultures the butterfly has been used as a symbol for transformation, hope, and rebirth. In Greek mythology butterflies actually represent the human soul. I’m fascinated with the bond that can be seen between humans and the natural world. Every creature, no matter how small has a connection t0 one another.
