I had each of the different components that completed this project for several years before it came to fruition. I acquired the glass vase first but struggled to originate a creative plan of how to use it. I came across the burl wood used for the base of the project next but it wasn’t until I received the driftwood limbs that a vision started to materialize. The Burl wood was bored out to hold the glass vase, individual limbs of driftwood were fixed to the base and each other in a uniform pattern resulting in three conjoined peaks. These three peaks were then represented by three different metal powder finishes, Aluminum, Bronze and Brass. There is a flow and symmetry of the piece when understanding its reasoning and purpose.
