As an artist, I have always been drawn to the intangible — the moments that can’t quite be put into words, the quiet in-between spaces, and the atmosphere that settles between light and shadow. My paintings are explorations of light not just as a physical phenomenon, but as an emotional force. I strive to capture more than just a scene; I aim to evoke a mood, a memory, or a sense of presence through the subtle dance of illumination and contrast. For me, light is the most powerful storyteller.
Having lived in the Lowcountry of South Carolina, surrounded by the natural beauty of marshlands, tidal rivers, and the historic charm, I developed a deep reverence for the unique quality of light found here. The hazy glow of a summer sunrise, the soft golden tones reflected in the water at dusk — these are the elements that continue to shape my palette and visual language. My work invites the viewer to slow down, observe, and feel something beyond the surface.
