Lady in Red

Lady in Red was a painting that was inspired by a photo I took at an event. I saw her sitting at a table by herself pensive wrapped up in her own thoughts oblivious to the world around her. A very attractive lady in a beautiful red gown. Sounds cliched but real. drinking a glass of wine alone maybe waiting for her partner to join her. Her face is altered so as not to encroach on her privacy. I like to work in large brushstrokes for the background focusing more on the figure.
