Into the Wild is a meditative exploration using a wet-on-wet technique with Beam watercolors in “Boreal Forest,” “Harvest Wheat,” “Timberwolf,” “Salish Sea,” and “Gold.” The painting is a journey of imagination inspired by the paint colors. It began as an experiment, testing the paints on a wet page and allowing the colors themselves to inform the development of the painting. For me, nature is always a source of inspiration and peace. While this piece doesn’t represent a particular place, it is my expression the serenity and centeredness I feel when in the wild.
