This piece depicts cultural heritage passed through generations, both physical and by tradition. The vase, inherited from my immigrant grandparents, depicts peacocks, symbols of majesty and beauty in Chinese culture. The peaches are symbols of long life. According to legend, the elixir of immortality is distilled from select peaches.
