I wanted to create a piece that represents the joyful hope I feel when I’m in Nature and not thinking about the everyday worries of human life. The upward movement of the tree, the flowers, the mushrooms, and the birds in the distance symbolize the tenacity of the human spirit when we recognize that we are part of Nature. No matter the adversity in our lives, there is always an opportunity to rise up, to draw inspiration and strength from the landscape around us and to trust that energy as a guiding force in our lives.
