As a Carolina native, the landscapes of this region are stitched into who I am. From the winding trails of the Blue Ridge Mountains to the quiet stillness of our marshes at dusk, the South is more than a setting in my work, it’s a heartbeat. My paintings are rooted in a love for nature, storytelling, and place. I’m especially drawn to quiet, emotional moments in the landscape—sunlight catching on the tops of the trees, the hush of a forest path, or the curve of a river disappearing into fog. These scenes carry a kind of memory for me, often inspired by real places I’ve explored throughout North and South Carolina.
My goal is to invite others into that feeling; to stand on the threshold of exploration, and take that first step.
