This painting is from photos of a river cruise my husband and I took last year on the Rhone River from Lyon to Avignon, France. These painting are just small sample of the architectural beauty of France. As mention in my previous artwork we arrived in Viviers, France in the late afternoon. A tree ling street a half a mile long was our first introduction to Viviers and is where we found this garden door. We could not see into the garden which roused our curiosity and not want to be the ugly Americans and try to enter we left with our curiosity unfulfilled.
