Formed from the unformed.

A chaos of mark making all over the canvas with no direction to follow – that’s the foundation of this piece.

At times I was scared, I felt lost and nothing I did made any sense. How to reign this in, I thought, how to get a hold of something that is so out of control?

Art and nature have laws.

When something is too dark, contrast it with light to create balance.  When something is too hard or edgy, softness compliments that. Too small, add bigger shapes. This is how the unformed became formed. I invite you to look and find the opposits!
