Artist Description

In building my own symbology, I gravitate heavily towards automated weapons. The chimera dove becomes an extension and one with the weapon for defense and confrontation.  A variation of a rifle lives on in my work, caught between explosive embellishment and protective talisman. In this process of queering the gun, historically rendered phallic weapon, I restore agency over my own narrative. I also considered how deformations in animals is considered a bad omen, despite their uniqueness.
