While traveling in France, from Paris to Normandy, my husband and I stopped for lunch in the small town of Amenucourt. These white cows were next door to the restaurant in a field, also having lunch and enjoying a beautiful, October fall day. I had never seen white cows before, let alone a large group of them. It was such a peaceful scene with the gold flecked woods behind them I quickly snapped a photo of them. Whenever I look at this painting it takes me back to that beautiful day.
