In a world full of difficulties, I strive to capture moments of beauty and peace. Last September, I walked alone on a trail until I came to it’s end: another hiker was planted on one of pool’s boulders as she stared, mesmerized by the waterfall. “Cascading Thoughts” was inspired by that moment, evoking the wonder of solitary immersion in natural beauty The hiker is rendered in watercolors while the woods and waterfall are depicted with pastels, a nod to her both belonging and being of another world.
