Caffè Vittoria

This painting is set outside Caffè Vittoria, a café in Cortona, Italy, where I studied abroad. The scene is based on a quiet moment shared with friends where my friend in the center is caught in stillness, while the two on either side are mid-conversation. We visited this café during one of our afternoons exploring town, and I was drawn to the way the light, colors, and conversations came together. The work reflects a passing moment of connection and calm, held within the hum of a new place.
