I chose this photo of my friend’s son and his rabbit, Nibbles.
Tommy was about 5 in this painting. The mutual love between Tommy and Nibbles was incredible! He followed him around their farm like a beloved dog, always at his feet or close by. I wanted to portray the love and trust between the two, and also the charm of boyhood, especially one of growing up on a farm. The sunflowers gave the portrait lots of sunny color, also helping to create a happy mood of a beautiful day enjoying a carefree life as a happy child.
