Artist Description

This Mix media assembly sculpture Reimagines forgotten vintage items as an angelic, luminous figure.

Carefully curated from repurposed heirloom objects, the form centers around a fluted brass base that creates a sweeping torso, framed by ornate silver-plated handles salvaged from a vintage coffee urn that form elegant wings. Her head is a solid glass stopper crowned with a wire egg separator fashioned into a delicate halo. Adorning her neck are layers of intimate, domestic detail: a hand, crocheted lace doily collar paired with a delicate pearl necklace. The figure is anchored on a dark lamp base resting on top a scalloped glass plate-  which extends outward like the delicate hem of a gown. Through the thoughtful synthesis of brass, silver, glass, and textile the piece  breathes new life into utilitarian objects, transforming nostalgia into serene, timeless presence. With the addition of fairy lights under her skirt, she becomes a soft illuminary.
