Afternoon Nap

My artwork explores movement, stillness, light, and shadow, working together to express a specific season or time. My goal is to capture beautiful everyday moments that we may otherwise miss, as light quietly moves across forms, casting shadows and brilliance in unexpected ways. My artistic process layers oil paint, with a focus on tonal value and form, and using glazing to help create luminosity and define structure with the shifting of light.
