Lately I have drawn inspiration for a series of paintings from walks in my neighborhood with my dog. There are a variety of architectural styles and a mix of commercial and residencial buildings. Big oak trees create dappled shade and utility lines crisscross overhead. I find comfort and joy on my walks and hope that is conveyed in my paintings.

I use a variety of materials and mediums in my paintings. This one began with freely applying paints, marks, and stencils on a wood cradle, and through the layers, using intellect and intuition, the image of my neighborhood after a rain emerged.
