“A Break” is part of my Bodyscapes series where a person is laying beneath a striped blanket underneath a sky. My intention is to create a landscape while simultaneously using cloth as the primary element. In this painting I was challenged by the great amount of depth of the foreshortened figure and the changes in color it demanded.
