Someone like You

” Someone Like You” depicts the disconnect between the self and the ego. The conflict to reach true authenticity when one doesn’t fully recognize oneself. This self portrait depicts two versions, one contemplative, bright, imperfect,  the other plain, complacent, and detached. As an artist I wanted to explore what it would look like if you could hold on to a part of yourself that doesn’t quite meet your expectations.
