I’ve enjoyed exploring my ancestral history and learning about migration trails in general over the years.  This image was taken at Cades Cove, Tennessee in the Smoky Mountains, a historical area originally settled by Cherokee, later by European traders, and invokes thoughts of what life without modern roads and navigating nature might have been like for my ancestors. The use of double exposure and cyanotype give a feeling of another time, which that was.
